Several internship projects are available using this platform:
Unified Infrastructure: Today's system engineers are the best security engineers of tomorrow. One of the most important mission of a Security engineer is to have an exhaustive view on his customers IT environments at all technical layers. This project has the objective of implementing coherent configuration everywhere in the Lab from the On-Premises servers to the Cloud deployment and configuring all services that are part of a Core infrastructure.
Automated Pentesting: Penetration activities are quite costly for customers and difficult to deliver As A Service. Some products on the market might solve this issue by giving the ability to run such technical audits in a recursive manner, especially to control that critical findings are patched/fixed in a timely manner. The intern will have to deploy related products in the Cybersecurity Lab and perform a comparison of available features.
Hacking Scenarios Validation: Detection scenarios are implemented by the SOC in the SIEM platform. Enhancement of those scenarios as well as their validation in various use cases is a recurrent task of SOC activities. In this project, the intern will have to work on test cases where:
  • He must execute the attack as described in the scenario
  • He must identify how to log/trace the attack activity
  • He must collect this information using the SIEM agent (or using standard collection mechanism)
  • He must validate that the SIEM correctly alerts the SOC team once the attack is observed

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Highly motivated individual with a genuine enthusiasm for cyber security and technology;
  • Sound understanding of cyber security principles and best practices;
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and to know when to seek guidance.
  • Ability to work with autonomy, but also to collaborate with the team.

Essential:
  • Good infrastructure and technology experience including demonstrable understanding of security operations;
  • Good knowledge of security issues inherent in common corporate environments;

Profil

Function

 

As Product Manager your main mission will be managing the marketing mix for two ranges of products: pea cell-wall fibre (SWELITE™) and pea starch (NASTAR™). Other missions will be supporting sales team and work on sustainability programs within our Corporate Social Responsibility team.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Propose and monitor the marketing mix of ranges pea cell-wall fibre (SWELITE™) and pea starch (NASTAR™):

    • Based on the technical capabilities and the market needs, you steer the positioning of your range towards the most attractive segments and regions. Through your tight links with the other departments (supply, operations, …), you are able to put the offer in adequation with the capabilities.
    • Together with the regions, you fix the prices and optimize the margin of your range.
    • In collaboration with Communication department, you set up the communication strategy of your range and you are responsible of the roll out of the media plan. You elaborate efficient sales tools and provide the appropriate training to sales team and distributors.
    • You define KPIs for your range and design a dedicated dashboard.
    • You identify opportunities (ingredients and concepts) and monitor the action plan at short, medium and long term. Continuously proposing innovative ideas, you develop together with the application lab concepts in line with global food and nutrition trends.
    • You realize market surveys about ingredients, segments and competition for your range and are able to report key points depending on the objective and the audience.
  • Support the sales team and distributors to promote innovation and strategic projects: exhibitions, workshops, conferences.
  • Participate to the elaboration of the Corporate Sustainability strategy and manage the deployment of this policy across the ranges together with other Product Managers.

  • Provide a secure, consistent, and trustworthy PKI service including, but not limited to: public key certificates and/or key pairs, a certificate repository, certificate revocation, key backup and recovery, support for non-repudiation of digital signatures, update of key pairs and certificates, great asset control, and a management of key histories. Help maintain and document PKI Processes for usage of the Solution.
  • Help maintain and drive PKI solution compliance to European Qualified certificate policy and NCP Certificate policies and customer certificate practices statement.
  • Help specialist to define Cybersecurity for operations of the PKI
  • PKI Customer Support - escalated issues. Troubleshoot issues within tools, systems and/or process.
  • Experience with European Common criteria evaluated PKI products are a plus.
  • Experience with integration of NIST or common criteria evaluated HSMs is a plus.
  • Write UAT Scripts and UAT Testing.
  • Metrics development, gathering and reporting
  • Support security penetration testing (whitebox and blackbox) of the PKI solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve process and/or products via customization to ensure highest level of quality and security.
  • Gain understanding of Service Capabilities (aka Service Levels) with goal of maintaining predictable Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide training to team and customer base as required on service and subject.
  • Identify compliance issues within tools to established standards and provide solutions to correct non-compliance.
  • Support the PKI components of critical services (e.g. Codesign, Source Code Archive and Secure License Keys).

Your Mission:
  • 3+ years PKI Architecture (Public Key Infrastructure) experience, having been part of a PKI product development/integration team is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience with development and hardware security modules (HSMs)
  • 2+years of Operational Experience for operational systems/network devices consuming PKI services is a plus.
  • MSc degree or equivalent.
  • European Citizenship, must be able to pass a background check, valid clearance to EU Secret and NATO secret is a plus.
  • Work as part of a PKI evaluation lab (common criteria,…) is a plus.
  • Experience with Idnomics is a plus.
  • Experience with PKI based banking and/or european identity smartcards is a plus.

Description

The Movahedi lab and Van Ginderachter lab are looking for an outstanding postdoctoral scientist interested in understanding how the immune system, and in particular macrophages and dendritic cells, affect the development and progression of primary brain tumors (glioblastoma) and their response to immunotherapy. We are especially interested in understanding how particular brain microenvironmental cues affect the function of these immune cells in the context of brain tumors.

The project relies on cutting-edge technologies such as single-cell RNA sequencing, CITE-Seq, high-dimensional cytometry, spatial transcriptomics and lentivirus-induced spontaneous glioma models. In addition, there is access to human glioma/glioblastoma samples via collaborations with the university hospital.

Both labs are located at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, in the heart of Europe, and together form the Myeloid Cell Immunology laboratory that is part of the excellence-based VIB Center for Inflammation Research. The Movahedi lab is located at the university medical campus, the Van Ginderachter lab at the science campus, and you will work at both locations.

Several internship projects are available using this platform:

Unified Infrastructure: Today's system engineers are the best security engineers of tomorrow. One of the most important mission of a Security engineer is to have an exhaustive view on his customers IT environments at all technical layers. This project has the objective of implementing coherent configuration everywhere in the Lab from the On-Premises servers to the Cloud deployment and configuring all services that are part of a Core infrastructure.

Automated Pentesting: Penetration activities are quite costly for customers and difficult to deliver As A Service. Some products on the market might solve this issue by giving the ability to run such technical audits in a recursive manner, especially to control that critical findings are patched/fixed in a timely manner. The intern will have to deploy related products in the Cybersecurity Lab and perform a comparison of available features.

Hacking Scenarios Validation: Detection scenarios are implemented by the SOC in the SIEM platform. Enhancement of those scenarios as well as their validation in various use cases is a recurrent task of SOC activities. In this project, the intern will have to work on test cases where:
  • He must execute the attack as described in the scenario
  • He must identify how to log/trace the attack activity
  • He must collect this information using the SIEM agent (or using standard collection mechanism)
  • He must validate that the SIEM correctly alerts the SOC team once the attack is observed


The Ideal Candidate:
  • Highly motivated individual with a genuine enthusiasm for cyber security and technology;
  • Sound understanding of cyber security principles and best practices;
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and to know when to seek guidance.
  • Ability to work with autonomy, but also to collaborate with the team.

Essential:
  • Good infrastructure and technology experience including demonstrable understanding of security operations;
