Process Engineer (location: Rotselaar – fulltime)

About the Job

As a Process Engineer you will be operating within the MAKE department of our factory. This department is responsible to process liquid milk into finished products such as Actimel & Activia. In a second stage, these products are packed in our PACK unit.

A sample of your responsibilities are:

• Look after the daily management of the milk reception department: You will manage the follow up from delivery of the milk over the skimming to the processing and support the teams of (40-50) operators & team leaders in their daily tasks related to this process.
• Leading the integration of the milk reception department within the MAKE department
• Leading smaller projects in MAKE & milk department from A to Z
• Supporting the production manager MAKE in bigger projects linked to the milk reception and MAKE department
• Owning the performance and continuous improvement of standards, processes and way of working within MAKE and the milk reception to ensure the budgeted results; with a focus of cost and delivery. This is done by always respecting the norms linked to safety, environment, food safety and quality linked to the factory vision
• Take care of the Autonomic Maintenance (AM) implementation in Make, together with the AM Coordinator

In this role you will be the right hand & back up of the Production Manager. During his absence you will take over the team management of the operating teams in the MAKE department. You will work closely together with the Production Manager to continuously improve the implemented processes.

Internally you will be in contact with different teams and you will build a strong network. This role will enable you to get a good understanding of the organization of our Production teams in the complete production site. In addition, you will establish a good relationship with our Milk & Technical suppliers.

About You

You have obtained a Bachelor or Master as a Industrial, Bio-Engineer or similar and already have a relevant professional experience. You are passionate to work in a production environment. Besides English you have a (near) native level of Dutch.

As Regulatory Affairs Officer you act as a link between the company and the regulatory authorities to ensure that products manufactured and distributed are in compliance with appropriate legislation.

• You ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (feed, food, pharma, and other applications) and proactively give strategic advice to the BU leadership

• You keep up to date with new and/or changes in the legislations and make sure these are communicated within the company and appropriate measures are taken when necessary

• You monitor this on regional, federal and European level, as well as international with the support of QA colleagues in the different regions

• You study scientific and legal documents distributed by authorities and Associations of which PB Leiner is a member

• You liaise and collaborate with regulatory authorities
• You set, via the Associations, impulses for new legal frameworks by means of position papers
• You offer advice on regulations, company policies, practices and systems to both internal and external customers and stakeholders
• You keep the global SDS sheets portfolio up to date
• You ensure that all RA related processes, databases and information systems are optimized, updated and maintained.
• You participate in establishing and maintaining relevant registration files in compliance with current regulations: EDQM, DMF, etc.
• You issue and maintain the compliancy statements of the company as well as documentation and company statements to be distributed amongst customers
• You outline requirements for labeling, storage and packaging of PB Leiner products
• You are a member of cross-functional innovation and NPD projects and support marketing, R&D, quality,…colleagues with compliance checks and processes
• You gather, evaluate, organize, manage and collate information in a variety of formats
• You organize workshops/presentations for internal RA training and education
• You ensure that the cross-regional QA and regulatory colleagues function as a team
• You network and take part in discussions within the Associations

• Master degree in an appropriate subject (chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy, medicinal chemistry, biomedical science, life or applied science).
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in regulatory affairs, dealing with regulatory authorities in pharma or food

• Knowledge of at least one of the following domains: food and feed legislation (HACCP, Food safety…); pharma legislation and EDQM

• Knowledge of GDP and/or GMP guidelines is a plus

• Quality Assurance experience

• Fluent in English (strong written and oral communication skills); profoucn knowledge of Dutch or French is necessary, other European languages is a plus

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams

• Proactive, entrepreneurial and high self-motivated personality

• Excellent administrative management skills

• Very detail oriented and analytical skills

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a SEA/CRO specialist to join our marketing team and take full responsibility for driving results growth by bringing new ideas and optimisation. In this cross-functional role, your initial focus will be on implementing, managing and reporting on our A / B Test. Be it on SEA campaigns (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads,...), landing pages,....  Over time, the scope of this role may expand to include other types of growth hacking initiatives. You will be assisted by the digital marketing team (designer, video/photo creator, ...) to maximise conversions. Key responsibilities:

- Manage and optimise SEA campaigns (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, ...)

- Responsible for reporting and analysing digital marketing efforts, to be shared with the marketing team and members of the company as a whole.

- Collaborate with other members of the marketing team (designer, video/photo creator, ...) for campaign creations and improvements.

- Manage the daily optimisation of the landing pages and the conversion funnel. For you, the optimisation of the Dog Chef website is never finished.

- Participate in the proposal, design and development of our broader digital marketing strategies.

Required skills

- Master's degree or comparable experience in Marketing or Business Management

- 3 to 4 years experience in a similar position (in-house or in a digital agency)

- Very good knowledge of Paid social media

- Personality: 80% Analytical - 20% Creative

- Strong reporting skills and attention to detail.

- Being critical of your own actions, in order to always seek optimisation

- You have experience in using CRO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Optimize, Mixpanel, Optimizely, etc.

Furthermore you have: 

• As BSc Degree 
• At least 1-3 years experience in a similar role  
• Experience with Windows 10, Microsoft 2010+, Office 365, Outlook, iOS Devices, PowerShell, Azure, Symantec Management Platform  
• The ability to understand and support basics of networking servers, different operation systems, laptop/desktop, network printers and mobile technology  
• The ability to explain technical problems to non-technical people  
• Fluency in English and Dutch. French is a plus
