JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
The Senior Advisor Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Starches and Sweeteners will identify, set and drive regulatory activities and strategic direction for growth and freedom to operate for starches and sweeteners product group throughout Europe. We seek a leader who will work closely with food safety quality and regulatory operations, governmental relations , research and development and  partner with a broad set of key stakeholders, internally and externally, to define and enable compliance systems and processes, develop and cultivate strong relationships and knowledge, and enable commercial teams to establish and achieve business objectives and growth strategies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Be the main regulatory and scientific affairs contact across functions for starches and sweeteners product group including product lines, key customers and commercial leaders.
  • Provide strategy and guidance, and coordinate the regulatory affairs initiatives within starches and sweeteners product group in the region to define the regulatory compliance for existing products, products destine for export.
  • Provide thought leadership in regulatory and scientific affairs area in the region including midterm and long term emerging issues.
  • Partner with food safety quality and regulatory and research and development colleagues to assess and implement programs and processes that enable regulatory compliance and innovation and priorities.
  • Monitor, understand, anticipate, and interpret regulatory changes. Share and train related functions to improve partnering and effectiveness.
  • Develop and coordinate regulatory positions, requirements, and processes by working with commercial teams and functional units, governmental relations, key customers, and external regulatory agencies.
  • Develop strong coordination and connections globally within our product groups and regionally across product groups to leverage synergies and ensure continuous development and enable capacity building for executing regulatory compliance and innovation.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or law; or Regulatory Safety experience with a majority of time in a food manufacturing companies
  • Advanced knowledge of food laws and regulations relevant to starches and sweeteners product group
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in science or law
  • 10 years of professional regulatory experience with most of the time in food/feed/pharma companies
  • Strong relationship with government agencies in the region
  • Active participation in key Trade Association(s) in the region
  • Advanced knowledge of food laws & regulations in EU & starches and sweeteners Subject matter expert
  • Advanced management and regulatory processes improvement skills – delivering processes that are aligned, effective, and optimize Cargill resources

The Senior Application Specialist Sugar Confectionery focuses on innovation and product development within Cargill’s ingredient portfolio, with an emphasis on sugar confectionery applications. You will support new sugar confectionery product development initiatives to help move ingredients from Concept to commercialization while collaborating with other technical and business teams. Your research efforts will also involve multifunctional interaction with commercial and technical service teams, as well as customers. Qualifications

In addition, you will establish a good relationship with our Milk & Technical suppliers.

About You

 

You have obtained a Bachelor or Master as a Industrial, Bio-Engineer or similar and already have a relevant professional experience. You are passionate to work in a production environment. Besides English you have a (near) native level of Dutch.

As Regulatory Affairs Officer you act as a link between the company and the regulatory authorities to ensure that products manufactured and distributed are in compliance with appropriate legislation.

  • You ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (feed, food, pharma, and other applications) and proactively give strategic advice to the BU leadership

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of at least one of the following domains: food and feed legislation (HACCP, Food safety…); pharma legislation and EDQM

  • Knowledge of GDP and/or GMP guidelines is a plus

Who we are looking for


We are looking for a SEA/CRO specialist to join our marketing team and take full responsibility for driving results growth by bringing new ideas and optimisation. In this cross-functional role, your initial focus will be on implementing, managing and reporting on our A / B Test. Be it on SEA campaigns (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads,...), landing pages,....  Over time, the scope of this role may expand to include other types of growth hacking initiatives. You will be assisted by the digital marketing team (designer, video/photo creator, ...) to maximise conversions. The Service Engineer will provide quality and timely installation and maintenance of Emerson Process Management products at the customer site and in the service centre. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
  • Provide system analysis and troubleshooting services on specific products, to end user customers as well as to in-house field service and project execution staff.
  • Responds promptly to service request from assigned customers (emergency situations for selected products can call for availability of 24 hours a day, 7 day a week).
  • Keep repair time to a minimum by using an adequate philosophy, provide preventive maintenance per agreement or upon request, advise customers in methods of operation and utilization, perform installation and start-up.
  • Provide vital information to allow administrative follow-up and order handling.
  • Communicate optimally with all internal and international groups to assure professional business relationships with our customers.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of Emerson Process Management Systems Products and related equipment/ services, their uses and applications.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Fluent in Dutch, English and French.
  • Graduate or Engineering degree with technical direction (preferably automation or IT related) or equivalent through experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar position in industrial setting (Petrochemical) is a strong advantage.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
  • Strong problem-solving capability under high performance/expectations pressure.
  • Familiarity with Emerson Process Management Systems products, applications and underlying technologies is helpful.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to customer site (60% of the time).

The Service Engineer will be executing in-house repairs, maintenance at customerrsquo;s sites; start up, diagnostic, on call service and preparation before site installation. They will be responsible for executing the scheduled work according to the Emerson standards of safety and quality, and training will be offered to help them perfect their skills.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Handle installation, startup, calibration, troubleshooting and repairs at the customer site.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Perform emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient services.
  • Execute the requested job in the best way to meet customerrsquo;s schedule and expectations.
  • Keep workshop/workplace(s) in order and representative.
  • Communicate issues concerning customer satisfaction or customer requests for Emerson support to the responsible person in Service Management or Sales Management.
  • Execute all work (all repairs, installations, training etc.) in accordance with each divisionrsquo;s guidelines, as well as company and customer HSEQ standards;

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Degree in an engineering field, such as mechanical / electrical, computer science, or control systems. (Minimum technical College level)
  • Proven experience from process industry such as Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refineries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of valves and related products is helpful.
  • Good interpersonal skills and fluency in Dutch and English, preferably also in French.
  • Availability to work offshore, non-office hours and perform call-out services, if applicable.
  • Driving license for car (class B), as frequent travel to customer sites will be required (60% of the time).

JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
The Senior Advisor Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Starches and Sweeteners will identify, set and drive regulatory activities and strategic direction for growth and freedom to operate for starches and sweeteners product group throughout Europe. We seek a leader who will work closely with food safety quality and regulatory operations, governmental relations , research and development and  partner with a broad set of key stakeholders, internally and externally, to define and enable compliance systems and processes, develop and cultivate strong relationships and knowledge, and enable commercial teams to establish and achieve business objectives and growth strategies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Be the main regulatory and scientific affairs contact across functions for starches and sweeteners product group including product lines, key customers and commercial leaders.
  • Provide strategy and guidance, and coordinate the regulatory affairs initiatives within starches and sweeteners product group in the region to define the regulatory compliance for existing products, products destine for export.
  • Provide thought leadership in regulatory and scientific affairs area in the region including midterm and long term emerging issues.
  • Partner with food safety quality and regulatory and research and development colleagues to assess and implement programs and processes that enable regulatory compliance and innovation and priorities.
  • Monitor, understand, anticipate, and interpret regulatory changes. Share and train related functions to improve partnering and effectiveness.
  • Develop and coordinate regulatory positions, requirements, and processes by working with commercial teams and functional units, governmental relations, key customers, and external regulatory agencies.
  • Develop strong coordination and connections globally within our product groups and regionally across product groups to leverage synergies and ensure continuous development and enable capacity building for executing regulatory compliance and innovation.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or law; or Regulatory Safety experience with a majority of time in a food manufacturing companies
  • Advanced knowledge of food laws and regulations relevant to starches and sweeteners product group
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in science or law
  • 10 years of professional regulatory experience with most of the time in food/feed/pharma companies
  • Strong relationship with government agencies in the region
  • Active participation in key Trade Association(s) in the region
  • Advanced knowledge of food laws & regulations in EU & starches and sweeteners Subject matter expert
  • Advanced management and regulatory processes improvement skills – delivering processes that are aligned, effective, and optimize Cargill resources
