Job Description

Due to the increasing workload following Eurofins' growth, sales and production process standardization activities, we are looking for a Junior IT Business Analyst to join our team responsible for an in-house developed application.

You will support the Product Owner with the “green-field” development of the application, yet also consider transitioning and integration constraints. This includes activities related to detailing user story descriptions and their acceptance criteria, following up on user story development and testing activities, and ensuring qualitative end-user documentation is available.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS

  • Writing of clear and well-structured specifications (user stories) for bugs and new functionalities including their mock-ups and detailed acceptance criteria;
  • Following up user stories of the scrum team you are involved in, including user story priority management, preparing and leading various scrum meetings, assisting developers and QA team members during user story implementation phase;
  • Closely interacting with QA team members during acceptance criteria refinement meetings, test case reviews, sprint demo meetings;
  • Aligning with key stakeholders on design proposals;
  • Assisting Business Analysts in UML modelling and service contract creation and review;
  • Providing assistance to the second line support of the application;
  • Managing bug reports and request for changes;
  • Actively participating and collaborating within the application’s international scrums teams; 
  • Assisting with the qualification of releases in close cooperation with the program's release management team and key stakeholders;
  • Managing end user documentation with a high-quality level: online help, release notes, customer forum, release presentations, etc.
Qualifications
  • Master Degree in Engineering, Science or Business;
  • 1 to 2 years of professional experience within Software Development is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Service-Oriented-Architecture is highly desirable;
  • First experience with Scrum is a plus;
  • Understanding of and experience with UML is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of SQL is an asset;
  • Experience with software development management tools (e.g. TFS) is an advantage;
  • Critical thinking and detail-orientated skills;
  • Fluent in English communication skills (written/oral). Knowledge of another language is an asset.

Function

Profile

  • You have experience in developing System Documentation: URS, data modelling, functional analysis, test sets, test cases, test scripts, test reports and have already executed or supported UAT testing.
  • You have a knowledge of Serialisation, CRM systems, ticketing processes and systems.
  • You have knowledge about software development in a validated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • You combine analytical and communication skills.
  • You are able to meet project deadlines.
  • You are able to work independently while demonstrating team spirit.
  • You have strong mathematical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

  • To produce and distribute a number of reports to support our key stakeholders, including but not limited to weekly scorecards, capacity related reports, performance (OTP) reports, RCG etc
  • To provide front line business support for any issues/questions relating to reports within the GNSG reporting landscape e.g. capacity, performance, RCG etc
  • To liaise with key stakeholders to gather the requirements for all new reports and ensure they are fully documented, justified and agreed (CR’s, POA’s, BRS’s etc.) prior to handing over to BI partners for development
  • Fully support in the UAT and implementation of new reports and reporting change requests in line with the reporting roadmap
  • Continuously strive to improve data quality within our data and reports e.g. VISTA Data Quality

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an analytical, project orientated or wide operations role
  • Experience in liaising with senior managers both within the organization and outside
  • In depth knowledge of DHL Express Operations. Aviation, Network Planning, Network Control and RCG knowledge is preferable
  • Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills are essential with database skills preferable
  • Proven experience in data analysis with highly developed analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Highly motivated with an ability to manage varying workloads against timescales
  • Fluent in spoken and written English with well-developed communication skills

 Minimum 3 years' experience in the interoperability of systems and data exchange
 Very good experience with relational databases
 Very good experience in dealing with stakeholders and business representatives
 Very good communication skills
Specific expertise
 Minimum 5 years' experience in elicitation and analyse of business requirements
 Minimum 5 years' experience in documentation of business requirements and functional decomposition
 Minimum 3 years' experience in analysing requirements for data exchange with web services (REST, SOAP)
 Minimum 5 years in functional design of information systems with modelling tools (e.g. UML);
 Minimum 3 years' experience with business modelling tools and notations (e.g. Aris, BPMN)

Job Description

To guarantee an optimal use of the Customer Business Platform, the Tessenderlo Group ICT department, located in Brussels, is looking for a CRM Business Analyst. As part of the global Customer competence team, you:

  • Translate business requirements regarding customer engagement and relationship management into detailed functional specifications.
  • Identify and elicit project/process requirements, through interviews, workshops and workflow analysis. Validate them with relevant business stakeholders. Define the testing scripts and verification criteria to ensure requirements are met and maintain traceability.
  • Document "as is" and "to be" processes, describe the changes required to migrate and identify possible impacts on the business. Contribute to feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective.
  • Interpret the business need and identify solution recommendations to business problems, in close collaboration with ICT Business Partners, Business Process Owners & key users and the ICT Project and Portfolio Management Office.
  • Configure existing applications and contribute to the development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop new routine applications to meet customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain functional and/or user documentation to a high standard and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
  • 3rd line functional support, with vendor partnership where needed.
  • Support a culture of knowledge sharing, learning and innovation by keeping abreast with new technologies and contributing to creative solutions

You report to the Customer Team Lead.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in Economics, Commercial Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with Customer Engagement and/or CRM consulting, including business analysis, project management and change management.
  • Experience with one or more CRM-tools, e.g. Salesforce, SAP CRM, Microsoft Dynamics.
  • As a business thinker with a strong interest in the technical aspects, you synthesize complex processes to an understandable whole.
  • With your proactive approach, you keep on spotting opportunities for improvement and formulate adequate proposals.

You will support the Product Owner with the “green-field” development of the application, yet also consider transitioning and integration constraints. This includes activities related to detailing user story descriptions and their acceptance criteria, following up on user story development and testing activities, and ensuring qualitative end-user documentation is available.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS

  • Writing of clear and well-structured specifications (user stories) for bugs and new functionalities including their mock-ups and detailed acceptance criteria;
  • Following up user stories of the scrum team you are involved in, including user story priority management, preparing and leading various scrum meetings, assisting developers and QA team members during user story implementation phase;
  • Closely interacting with QA team members during acceptance criteria refinement meetings, test case reviews, sprint demo meetings;
  • Aligning with key stakeholders on design proposals;
  • Assisting Business Analysts in UML modelling and service contract creation and review;
  • Providing assistance to the second line support of the application;
  • Managing bug reports and request for changes;
  • Actively participating and collaborating within the application’s international scrums teams; 
  • Assisting with the qualification of releases in close cooperation with the program's release management team and key stakeholders;
  • Managing end user documentation with a high-quality level: online help, release notes, customer forum, release presentations, etc.
Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Engineering, Science or Business;
  • 1 to 2 years of professional experience within Software Development is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Service-Oriented-Architecture is highly desirable;
  • First experience with Scrum is a plus;
  • Understanding of and experience with UML is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of SQL is an asset;
  • Experience with software development management tools (e.g. TFS) is an advantage;
  • Critical thinking and detail-orientated skills;
  • Fluent in English communication skills (written/oral). Knowledge of another language is an asset.
