We are now looking for a  Receptionist  with a passion for hospitality to strengthen our team.

A day in the life of…

As a Hotel Receptionist at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Ghent, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, ensuring a smooth check-in/out process for all. Ensure the Front Office leader is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and other departments. Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation. Inform guests about the city and attractions in the area, so they can have a great stay in Gent.

To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards.

An excellent hotel receptionist should excel in the following three key skills:

  1. Customer Service Skills : A hotel receptionist must be welcoming, friendly, and able to handle guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and efficiency. This includes being attentive to guests' needs, solving problems quickly, and ensuring a pleasant experience.

  2. Communication Skills : Clear and effective communication is crucial. A receptionist should be able to interact confidently with guests, colleagues, and management, both in person and over the phone or email. Multilingual abilities can be a significant advantage.

  3. Organizational Skills : Receptionists often handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as checking in guests, managing reservations, and coordinating with housekeeping. Strong organizational skills help them prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and ensure smooth operations.
